Angelica Böhm is a scenographer, professor, and artistic researcher working at the intersection of spatial design, storytelling, and future imaginaries.

Her work explores the poetic and political power of images and spatial narratives. Since 2013, she has served as Professor of Scenography at Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. In 2024, she joined the board of the university’s Institute for Artistic Research (IKF).
Her teaching, research, and artistic production intersect design, ecology, and future literacy. She believes that collaborative creation across disciplines can spark the imaginaries we need for sustainable transformation.

Camilla Plastic Ocean Plan (CPOP)
A long-term artistic research project exploring marine ecosystems, plastic pollution, and specu- lative futures through immersive scenography and transmedia storytelling.

Art for Futures Lab (AFFL)
Co-founded with curator Nicole Loeser, AFFL is a transdisciplinary platform for speculative worldbuilding and climate futures.
It connects artistic research, storytelling, and collaborative design to develop positive future imaginaries across film, exhibitions, and digital formats.

Teaching & Research Approach
Böhm’s teaching integrates artistic research, spatial thinking, and interdisciplinary collabora- tion. Her formats combine studio-based production, site-based exploration, and experimental methodologies that position scenography as a tool for knowledge production and cultural transformation.
